made clearer.

The New Homes & Retirement Living Show 2026, in association with MoveTo Residential. A calm, advice-led day where you can meet the experts and explore what retirement living could look like for you. There’s no obligation, just get the answers to the questions this move tends to raise.

Looking into it is not the same as deciding.

For most people, retirement living is something they consider long before they act on it. It could follow a moment that prompts a fresh look at the years ahead,or simply be a growing sense that the next chapter could be easier somewhere designed for it.

Whatever stage you’re at, the New Homes & Retirement Living Show can help you understand your options. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Some visitors are ready to move within the year. Others are several years away from a decision, or are exploring on behalf of a parent and want a clear picture before any conversation at home.

A visit to the show is the easiest way to build that picture, with everything you need in one place and no pressure to decide anything on the day.

The right people to talk to.

The retirement living specialists at the show build and run communities across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex, Berkshire, and South-West London. Some are purpose-built villages with shared spaces and outstanding on-site facilities. Others are smaller and quieter, with more specialised care.

Exploring several options in a single day makes it far easier to judge what suits your situation best, rather than comparing places weeks apart, when impressions have faded.

Where assisted living fits in.

Retirement living and assisted living are not the same thing, and the difference is worth understanding. Most retirement living is designed for people who are fully independent but want a more sociable, easier home. Assisted living adds support with day-to-day tasks in a setting that still feels like home rather than anything clinical.

For some visitors, that distinction will answer their biggest question. For others, it will open up a new set of questions. Either way, there are exhibitors who can explain how assisted living works, who it suits, and how the level of support can flex over time as needs change.

Who the day is really for…

Anyone giving serious thought to retirement living will find real value at the New Homes & Retirement Living Show. That includes those who are simply curious and would rather understand the options well before a decision is needed, and crucially, those who know a move is on the horizon within the next year or so.

It is also for the families navigating this together. Many visitors come with an adult son or daughter, or on a parent’s behalf, to get a clearer sense of what’s available. If you’d like to bring family with you, you can register for multiple tickets in one go.
